North American Lighting: coordinating two compressor rooms
A week of measurement identified excessive simultaneous compressor operation. Central control and simulation helped match the combination of machines to the plant’s actual demand.

The operating challenge
Five compressors from different manufacturers supplied two rooms. Data logging established a baseline; large variable-speed machines were running fully loaded instead of trimming demand.
02 · Implementation
What changed
The project connected the rooms through the existing Ethernet network and introduced coordinated control. Simulation used the measured demand profile to assess unloaded running.
